Sheet Metal Detailer
As a Sheet Metal Detailer you can pursue an exciting career utilizing Computer
Aided Drafting (CAD). A Detailer is responsible for producing drawings
that coordinate the Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
with other building systems, such as electrical and plumbing, to minimize installation
time. This is achieved through advanced 2D and 3D drawings.
Through the apprentice training programs Detailers master the following:
- Specialized CAD drawing systems
- Advanced measuring tools and techniques
- Reading Building Plans and specifications
- HVAC System Design and installation
- Building codes
- Job site correspondence
- Project Management skills
- Communication skills
