HVAC Residential
Heating Ventilating & Air-Conditioning (HVAC) for Residential structures
includes the design, fabrication and installation of sheet metal duct work and
air conditioning equipment that delivers hot or cold air as well as exhaust air.
This type of work can be very exciting and rewarding. Even though the home owners
can not see the quality of your craftsmanship, they can certainly feel it by
the comfort it provides for them in their home.
Some of the skills one would learn throughout their apprenticeship training
is:
- Measuring and layout techniques
- Communications and Supervisory skills
- Electrical ( Controls, High & Low Voltage Equipment and accessories)
- Refrigeration / air conditioning service work
- Readings Plans and Specifications
- Job site safety
- Building codes
