Service Technician

What would people do without heat in the dead of winter? What would an office
building be like without air conditioning in the heat of summer? Environmental
service technicians are people who install and service heating and cooling
equipment for people, machinery and processes to maintain temperature, humidity
and indoor air quality in residential, commercial, industrial, and other facilities.
This aspect of the trade offers you a wide variety of career opportunities
and challenges. Upon completion of the apprenticeship program, you will
be a journeyman. Trained sheet metal journeymen may go on to become foremen,
supervisors, salesmen, service managers or even start their own company. A
lot of our daily comfort depends on heating and air-conditioning systems and
the people who install, maintain and repair them - heating and air conditioning
service technicians.
