The iTi currently offers the following courses online:

JAC/JATC Trustee Awareness

The purpose of this course is to raise awareness of certain financial issues that individuals involved with apprenticeship and training funds might encounter. There are several documents that are unique to a local training center that you are required to have before you begin this course. That list is on the first page of the course. This course should take you 2 -3 hours to complete.

Title 24 2013 Review

California's Building Energy Efficiency Standards are updated on an approximate three-year cycle. The 2013 Standards improve upon the 2008 Standards for new construction of, and additions and alterations to, residential and nonresidential buildings. The 2013 Standards went into effect July 1, 2014.

This course will refresh participants knowledge of how to fill out and use the 2013 CEC Mechanical acceptance forms. Additional hands on training is required by the CEC to become a Mechanical Acceptance Testing Technician in California.

This course has been developed for individuals with a background in Testing, Adjusting and Balancing. You must be a certified TABB technician to become a certified Mechanical Acceptance Testing Technician (MATT). It will take approximately 24 hours to complete, you may start and stop this course at any point in the program.

Title 24 2016

California's Building Energy Efficiency Standards are updated on an approximately three-year cycle. The 2016 Standards will continue to improve upon the 2013 Standards for new construction of, and additions and alterations to, residential and nonresidential buildings. The effective date of the 2016 Standards is January 1, 2017.

This online class has been approved by the California Energy Commission and will prepare you to perform acceptance testing on equipment permitted after January 1, 2017. It was designed to be taken by individuals that have completed the Title 2013 course (classroom and hands on training).  

It will take about an estimated hour to complete this course, and it eligible for one (1) ICB CEU.

Note:  Equipment permitted prior to January 1, 2017 will be tested under the standards in effect at that date.

Supervisory Training

This course provides an overview of the knowledge and skills needed to be a successful Sheet Metal supervisor. It will take an estimated 8 hours to complete the course, and is eligible for 2 ICB CEUs.

Fire Life Safety Level One Technician

This course provides an overview of installing, inspecting, and maintaining the various types of dampers in HVAC systems in new and existing buildings.

It will take an estimated 12 hours to complete the course, and is eligible for 6 ICB CEUs.

Successful completion of this course will be documented with a Certificate of Course Completion. To become a certified FLS1 technician, you will have to then ask your training coordinator to schedule a certification exam through the International Certification Board/Testing Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (ICB/TABB) and pass that exam as well. Foreman Training

This course provides training for those who are interested in becoming a foreman.

It will take an estimated 8 hours to complete the course, and is eligible for 3 ICB CEUs.

Fire Life Safety Level Two Technician

This course will teach you how to inspect, test, and maintain smoke control systems. At the end of it, you should be prepared to take the Level 2 Certification exam for Fire Life Safety.

It will take an estimated 12 hours to complete the course, and is eligible for 6 ICB CEUs.

This video covers various topics to help members get started using Benchmark. The video player enables you to jump to a specific topic.

AutoCAD Exercises


This AutoCAD Exercise course covers basic AutoCAD skills and are considered prerequisite material for other ITI courses where AutoCAD is used. There is no exam, grade, or certification earned reviewing any of these AutoCAD exercises.
